A3-48 and C3-48 are both common centrifugal fan series, and the Xin Changfeng site positions them differently: the A3-48 leans toward industrial ducting and process ventilation, while the C3-48 is used more for equipment OEM and engineering ventilation. When purchasing, do not judge by the model name alone — compare airflow, pressure, installation size, drive type and the specific duty together.
Industrial duct projects usually have a fixed duct network that may connect multiple branches, collection points or process equipment. Here the fan must overcome the whole system's resistance at the design airflow, so A3-48-type applications emphasize duct matching. Equipment OEM is often limited by internal machine space, connection direction and overall layout, so beyond performance it must also consider structural size and installation convenience — the C3-48 matches equipment requirements more easily in these cases.
The first step in selection is always airflow. Do not use a rule like a certain area needs a certain fan size, because workshops of the same area can have completely different heat sources, pollution sources and ventilation goals. The second step is static pressure — tally straight ducts, elbows, filters, valves and terminal parts. The third step compares motor power, efficiency and operating point. If the actual operating point sits far from the efficient zone, even a large motor can waste energy and make noise.
Installation conditions also need confirming early. The inlet/outlet direction, rotation, base size and service space of a centrifugal fan directly affect on-site work. For internal equipment matching, check the connection position in advance to avoid adding sharp bends and unnecessary transitions later. If an industrial project runs continuously for long periods, also consider the serviceability of bearings, motors and drive parts, and parts interchangeability.
So A3-48 and C3-48 are not a simple high-versus-low relationship. The better approach is to describe the application first, then filter the model by parameters. Xin Changfeng also offers 4-72, XBF, 11-62A and cabinet centrifugal fans to cover different supply/exhaust needs. Providing airflow, static pressure, media, temperature, installation position and duty hours at the enquiry stage lets the manufacturer quickly judge whether A3-48, C3-48 or another series fits, reducing the risk of buying by model name alone.
