Many exhaust systems look strong right after installation, but the end-of-duct suction drops noticeably once the full duct is connected — usually because of system resistance. Long ducts, many elbows, small cross-sections and filters or purifiers all add pressure loss. When an ordinary cabinet cannot overcome that resistance at the target airflow, you need equipment suited to higher static pressure. The Xin Changfeng site positions the GX high-pressure cabinet for high-resistance duct supply and exhaust, and its selection is about balancing airflow and pressure.
The first step in deciding whether you need a high-pressure cabinet is not distance, but estimating the whole duct network's resistance. Two ducts of the same length can differ greatly in actual resistance if one is mostly straight with generous cross-section while the other is full of elbows, transitions and purifiers. Selection should therefore tally straight-duct length, elbows, tees, valves, filter sections, purifiers and terminal type, and calculate pressure loss against the design velocity.
In kitchen exhaust, projects with higher floors, long discharge distances or high-resistance purifiers may need more pressure; industrial exhaust, process ventilation and centralized extraction systems often face the same situation. Note that high pressure does not mean blindly raising speed. If the duct cross-section is too small, high-velocity airflow brings obvious noise and extra energy use, and can make the duct vibrate. The right approach is to optimize the duct network first, then decide the fan's pressure class.
When installing a GX high-pressure cabinet, pay attention to base isolation, flexible connections and inlet/outlet transitions. High-pressure operation means stronger airflow velocity and forces, so poor transitions, sharp size changes or weak supports can create extra resistance and noise. For maintenance, check impeller dust, belts or drive parts, the motor and the cabinet fastenings regularly to avoid efficiency loss over time.
Before buying a GX high-pressure cabinet, provide the design airflow, estimated static pressure, duct layout, media type and duty hours to the manufacturer. Xin Changfeng also offers DT cabinet centrifugal fans, 4-72 series centrifugal fans and multi-wing centrifugal fans, so not every project needs a high-pressure cabinet. If a suitable pressure can do the job, do not oversize the equipment. Setting the operating point from actual system resistance is the right way to cut energy, noise and long-term maintenance cost.
